Welcome to Flotilla 78 Garden City

Serving Utah from Bear Lake to Lake Powell

Flotilla 78 originated in Garden City, Utah but serves a much larger geographic area and meets in Sandy. In addition to Bear Lake, we cover the outlying boating areas of Utah, i.e. Utah Lake, Deer Creek Reservoir, Jordanelle Reservoir, Strawberry Reservoir, and occasionally Lake Powell. We are part of District 11, Northern Region which covers the Northern half of California, Nevada and Utah; and Division 7, located in the state of Utah.

Flotilla 78 typically meets the first tuesday of each month and welcomes the public (View Calendar). Starting January 2012 Flotilla 78 will no longer meet at Jims Restaurant and will be looking for a new home. For the January meeting we will meet at the Village Inn on the south end of the South Towne Center in Sandy (Map It). the first tuesday of each month. Meetings start at 7 P.M. and end around 9 P.M. Feel free to stop by.

Members of the flotilla offer safety patrols and courtesy vessel safety checks on weekends during the summer months at Utah Lake State Park, Deer Creek Reservoir and Jordonelle Reservoir, or where requested, if possible.

The flotilla is looking for good people who love boating and boating activities to join us in helping to promote safe boating thru out the state of Utah. Why not YOU? Fill out a few forms, answer a few questions, attend some of our meetings, and come and have fun with us. There is nothing like volunteering to take care of unfulfilled wants and desires and what better way than out on the lake. The Coast Guard Auxiliary provides education to the public and operational support to the Coast Guard but it is not necessary to have a boat or work on the water to help. The Auxiliary needs mission support as well. The Auxiliary is always looking for individuals willing to provide leadership and administrative or technical skills.
